have been arrested for this murder.  They are currently in jail.

On March 20, 1996, officers were dispatched to a stabbing at the American Hotel, 5908 Central NW.  Upon their arrival, officers found no one present.  The Manager had not called the police.  UNMMC telephoned and advised they had one person who was about to expire.  It was determined that the victim, 25 year old Doulas Torres-Gonzales,  friend, and girlfriend were in the parking lot when a car with five Spanish male occupants circled the lot, stopped and started a conversation.  The victim was shot once in the chest, the vehicle drove away.   The victim was taken to the hospital by his girlfriend and friend where he died a short time later.
